Among the most popular islands of the Aegean Sea, Sifnos is located in western Cyclades. Accessible by regular ferries from Athens and surrounding islands, visitors to Sifnos are impressed by the picturesque villages, the calm beaches and the vibrant nightlife. The main port of Sifnos is Kamares and the capital is Apollonia. All villages have traditional architecture with paved streets, white houses and small churches. On the southern side of Sifnos, there are some beautiful beaches to relax, including Faros, Chrissopigi, Platis Gialos and Vathi. The most picturesque spot of Sifnos is Kastro with the small church of Seven Martyrs at the entrance of the village, the most photographed spot of the island.
